In the future, proper nutrition is very important, since a decrease in the consumption of products containing uric acid salts (urates) leads to a slowdown in the development of the disease. Nutrition for gout is an issue that deserves a lot of attention, as it is the normalization of nutrition that contributes to a speedy recovery and increases the time interval between relapses of the disease. Products for gout can only be consumed certain, therefore, regarding the menu and nutrition of patients, there are many rules that you need to know.
Menu and diet
First of all, we will consider the main points of nutrition and find out what kind of diet a patient with gout should have. Doctors recommend that patients exclude animal proteins from their diet, but not only are they dangerous for people with gout: animal fats and easily digestible carbohydrates are also dangerous.
Food for gout should be frequent, but food should be consumed in small portions. Therefore, during the day, the patient should eat five to six times, and at least once a week it is necessary to organize a fasting day.

So, to cook rice porridge for a day of fasting, you need to cook 75 g of rice in 750 ml of milk - this is one portion of food for one day. Porridge should be consumed in one day, in three meals. Recipes for gout
Here are some recipes for gout that are both healthy and delicious.
Vegetarian borscht. To prepare the borscht you will need the following products: 160 g of beets, 160 g of potatoes, 60 g of carrots, 140 g of white cabbage, 40 g of onions, 100 g of fresh tomatoes, 25 g of parsley, 40 g of sour cream.
Boil the beets separately until half cooked and grate them on a coarse grater. Then put all the vegetables (including beets) in a container, add water and cook until everything is ready. Serve the borscht on the table, season it with sour cream and put the chopped parsley.
Another recipe allowed by the gout diet is the potato soup recipe. So, potato soup is prepared with the following products: water, potatoes, ½ eggs, butter, flour, sour cream (25 g), herbs.
The cooking process is very simple: peel and boil the potatoes, drain the water into a separate container and pass through a sieve. Next, you need to prepare the sauce, for which dry the flour in the oven and dilute it in 40 g of potato broth, then boil. Mix the potato broth, mashed potatoes and the prepared sauce, add the egg and butter. Boil everything again and serve, season with sour cream and put herbs.

Vegetable stew. For cooking, you need to take 6 potatoes, 3 carrots, 1 onion, 1 glass of peas, 1 tbsp. a spoonful of butter, 100 g of sour cream and a pinch of salt.

Also, a gout diet allows you to eat any fruit, including exotic ones (grapefruit, oranges, tangerines). You can eat low-fat dairy and dairy products (low-fat cottage cheese and kefir). Chicken eggs and especially quail eggs are very useful.
From fats you can get a little butter and any kind of vegetable oil. Whole grains, natural bee honey, and nuts are highly recommended.
